HEALTH SHOULDN'T COME WITH A PRICE TAG

Premier Danielle Smith wants you to pay $100 for a COVID shot. It’s still free almost everywhere in Canada. But Alberta is making people pay to stay healthy.

This is unfair, reckless, and dangerous.

What this means

• A $100 “Vax Tax” for most Albertans when they get their COVID shot. 

• Only a few groups are exempt after pushback.

• The result: fewer vaccines, more illness, higher hospital costs.

Why it matters

Charging for vaccines means fewer people get protected. Families living paycheck to paycheck will skip vaccines. Workers will get sick, especially health care and education workers. 

That means more outbreaks, more pressure on hospitals, and bigger bills for all of us.

Take action

Albertans know what’s worth axing. Premier Smith’s $100 health Vax Tax targets people doing the right thing–getting vaccinated.
